Bloomberg wants 3rd term as NYC mayor
Bloomberg made the decision over the weekend and will announce it Thursday, according to the person, who has been briefed on the matter but spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement hasn't been made. The person said the mayor has been wrestling with the decision for the past couple of months.
The billionaire former CEO will cite the nation's precarious economic situation as the reason that New York needs a tested financial manager to stay and guide the city, the person said.
The mayor, founder of the multibillion-dollar financial data firm Bloomberg LP, is reported to be worth an estimated $20 billion.
News of Bloomberg's decision was first reported by The New York Times.
The move is risky because the mayor would be going against both his own prior support of term limits and polls that show the public supports the voter-approved law.
The individual close to the mayor said Bloomberg's plan is go through the City Council to amend the law to allow a third consecutive term because it is too late to get the issue on this year's ballot. A Times survey of council members last month found that a majority were willing to amend the term limits law.
Chris Kelley, associate director of the government watchdog group Common Cause New York, accused Bloomberg of attempting to subvert the will of the voters.
"If there's a discussion that needs to be had about term limits, the mayor has had years in office during which we could have had a public discussion," Kelley said. "We are now faced with a situation where we are looking at economic crisis and massive turnover at City Hall ... and to make an end run around the voters' choice is just incredibly disappointing."
When Bloomberg vetoed a bill in 2002 that would have extended the terms for some officials, he said the proposed law amounted to changing the rules for personal political gain.

Trick with cards
Shuffle a deck of cards. Place the top card face up on the table and look at its number (Jack, Queen, King all equals 10). Put enough cards on top of the card to make the total 10. For example if a 7 were showing put 3 more cards on the top of it. Put the cards on so that all are face up. Keep making piles like this until deck is used up. If there are remaining cards that do not exactly equal to 10 hold onto them.
Ask someone in the audience to choose three piles, each with three or more cards in it, and flip them face down. Pick up rest of the piles. count 19 cards from those in your hand, and place them to the side, as they are necessary for rest of the trick.
Ask the volunteer to flip the top card of any of the three piles over, so that it is face up. From the cards in your hand, take the number of cards that corresponds to the number of the card flipped. For example if 2 is flipped, take 2 cards from your hand and keep it aside. Repeat this for another pile.
Count the number of cards in your hand, and tell the audience that this is the number of the top card in final(third) pile. Have the volunteer flip the card. The number always matches.
Finally a bit of meat and potato's to go with my green eggs and ham...,
I thoroughly enjoyed this film, Lots of time on character development, and the intricacies that make you really care for a plot and its characters. I thought the acting was very well done although I found Liv Tyler to be the 'Weak Link'. Not sure she 'sold' her part that well or maybe it was just typecasting for that "Armageddon" girl.
The CGI was top shelf. There were no seriously 'over done' moments of ,"awww Come on" uttered in the theater. In this packed theater there were many ovations for the cameo's and the ,"Bad guy gets it" scenes, and even for the thrilling last minute of the movie. So where was Samuel L. Jackson?
Please enjoy this more Comic like and more faithful version of THE HULK!
Attention - Origin Mixture!!!
Without spoiling it, one of the larger ingredients in this new Hulk comes from a Marvel series that is an alternate universe. There are many differences in the Ultimates Universe. In this version, Banner did not get his gamma radiation from exposure during an experimental bomb explosion. I won't spoil it, but you can go to www.marvel.com and look under "Ultimates" if you wish to get the gist of it.
I can truly say that this version captures a little of everything, so that no matter what your knowledge is of the Hulk character, there's tie-ins to everything.
Personally, I felt this reboot was well thought out. It allows for any future connectivity by not limiting it to one version of the Hulk. This will allow future Marvel movie-makers the ability to pick and choose aspects from the multitude of alternate universes, re-tellings, and time spans to combine whatever they please.
This was well cast. When the overall product can make me forget the fact that I don't like a specific actor, and truly appreciate the total entertainment experience, it's something to smile about. I won't mention which one I don't care for, since all that will do is spark useless debate.
Story - intricate and intelligent, fast-paced, yet deeply explanatory, complex, yet easily taken in by non-geeks. Enough references to the true comic, alternate comic, and TV show, that everyone in the sneak peek seemed to be pleased. I surely was.

A whole lot better than you think
Honestly, as soon as I heard they were making another Hulk movie I was surprised. When I heard they had cast Ed Norton, I was shocked. So going into this movie I had no idea what to expect. Coming out, I feel like an idiot because it was really masterfully done. Lettier does an amazing job, Norton was fantastic, and as far as a comic book movie goes, this one is just about on top with little nods and mentions. If you don't walk out of this film screaming HELLL YEAAAA, then you are not normal. Far better than Ang Lee's attempt at the green man and as far as this year, it's definitely Marvel's year. No better way to make up for Spiderman 3 than releasing Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk just a month apart. Thank you Marvel for cleaning the mess Spiderman 3 left and clearing your name. This film just makes me thing of one word...AVENGERS

Dreamworks hits a HOME RUN with this one!
I took my wife and nephew and niece to see it on a Friday night and they enjoyed it, too! We were totally laughing, smiling, and guffawing at Po, the main protagonist (voiced by Jack Black) and his misadventures at becoming a Kung Fu expert. This was certainly a flawed character, one that a lot of people can relate to because he dreams, he's funny, and he can laugh at himself. Also, the story was pretty clear and easy to follow because the storytelling was well crafted, and the animation was paired well with characters brought vividly to life by some of the most famous names in Hollywood.
Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman are downright excellent as the main characters, and Ian McShane as the bad dude gave it the right fearful presence. Other big name stars don't shine as much, but that's because their roles are rather limited in the film. But that's still okay because the animators should be given equal credit (if not more) for delivering the funny, action and heart elements of this movie in an effective, amazing and (I've got to use this) AWESOME manner. Visually, this movie is stunning (notice all those scenic shots of the Chinese mountains, bodies of water, and the bridge scene; not to mention the action animation version of "The Matrix" with slow-mo)... simply a delight to watch.
It's clear that Dreamworks has gotten back in the animation game with Kung Fu Panda, after slight ho-hums in Shrek 3 and Bee Movie (call me crazy, but I liked Over The Hedge more than those two). Hopefully, it should earn well over $500M worldwide because it is so good.
This movie rightfully belongs in the top animation movies of all time (okay, let's not include the classic fairy tales of old; let's begin with the 90's onwards), alongside my faves "The Incredibles" "Finding Nemo" and "Beauty & The Beast." Has the makings of being a classic.
My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we saw it again the night after. And maybe another time... haha!
History of super cars
Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot is often credited for building the first automobile in 1769, while some others claim Ferdinand Verbiest, a member of a Jesuit mission in China, built the first steam powered car in 1672. In either case François Isaac de Rivaz, a Swiss inventor, designed the first internal combustion engine which was fuelled by a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen and used it to develop the world's first vehicle to run on such an engine.
Super cars started to appear in the 50's with the introduction of 'sporting' road cars from now famous marques such as Ferrari,Lamborghini,Porsche and Bugatti. In those days, the ethos of the sports car was a car designed not only for the road but for motorsport competition as well.
Mercedes 300SL was the first successful super car built in the year 1954. It has 2 seats with gull wing doors. It is the most refined and most Inspirational sport car of our era. It's fuel injected 3 litre produced over 240bhp giving a claimed top speed of 165mph. They also named it "Widow maker" since many male driver died crashing their 300SL.
Mercedes 300SL

The Porsche 550 was a sports car automobile produced by Porsche in the year 1955.Inspired by a small Porsche 356 Spyder which was created and raced by Walter Glöckler in 1951, the factory decided to build such a car, being its first designed specifically for use in auto racing. The 550 became known as Spyder or RS, and gave Porsche its first overall win in a major sports car racing event, the 1956 Targa Florio. Its successor from 1957 onwards, the Porsche 718, was even more successful, scoring points in Formula One as late as 1963.

Henry ford II decided to produce a super car on his failure to buy Ferrari, resulting in Ford GT40 in the year 1965. Ford GT40 challenged Ferrari with 4.7 litre V8 Engines making 350 bhp, the car was raced and tested atLe Mans. The car had an imoressive top speed of 207mph.

Aussies dont like monarch!!
There are numerous studies conducted. This is just one of the interesting ones . It is about the monarchy in Australia. Most Australians want to dump the monarch as head of state and become a republic, an opinion poll showed on Tuesday. Fifty-two per cent support a republic, 40 per cent do not and eight per cent are undecided, the Hera-ld/Nielsen poll of 1,400 voters showedThe poll comes as the government and official opposition are both led by republicans for the first time in the history of this former British colony. Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, who ousted royalist John Howard in elections last November, describes himself as "a lifelong republican".

Very Large Telescope (VLT)
It is used to study visible light, and collect and analyse infrared heat energy and ultraviolet radiation. During a one hour exposure, each telescope can photograph objects that are four billion times fainter than can be seen with naked eye. The VLT consists of four telescope units, each with a mirror of 8.2 m (27ft) in diameter. These units can be used individually or in parallel; together they simulate one large telescope with a mirror of 16 m (52ft) in diameter. Working in parallel, a process known as infterferometry, the VLT allows celestial objects to be seen in much faster detail than with the Hubble Space Telescope. On 22 May 1998, one of the telescope units took its first photograph of the celestial object, an event that astronomers call “first light”. The VLT will be used principally to search for small, Earth-Like planets around other stars. In addition to the telescopes, new space probes continue to explore the solar system. In 1997, the mars Pathfinder successfully surveyed an ancient flood plain on Mars. In the same year, the Galileo space probe discovered strong evidence for a global ocean under the ice sheets of Europa, one of the Jupiter’s 16 moons. Future space probes will investigate the possible existence of alien microbes in both Mars and Europa.

Interesting theory about numbers
Do you ever know how the number were formed? I am here to reveal the Theory about how numbers were formed in earlier days. The Theory however is suitable only for Arabic numbers and not for Roman or any other type.
We all know that the numbers we all use (1, 2, 3, 4, ….9) are known as ” Arabic” numbers. Actually the Arabs popularized these numbers but they were originally used by the early Phoenician traders to count and keep track of their trading accounts.
Do you have any idea about why 1 is actually called as ONE or 2 is called as TWO and so on? It not too late atleast know now!!
It’s all about angle! It’s the number of angles. If one writes the numbers down (see below) on a piece of paper in their older forms, one quickly sees why.Angles have been marked with “o”s.
No 1 has ONE angle.
No 2 has TWO angles.
No 3 has THREE angles.
No 4 has FOUR angle.
No 5 has FIVE angles.
No 6 has SIX angles.
No 7 has SEVEN angle.
No 8 has EIGHT angles.
No 9 has NINE angles.
Isn’t it amazing?
Engineers life !!
It was a man who is on a vacation went to the Veterinary doctor and said that he is on vacation for a month so that he can get himself treated fully within this period.
Doctor: I think you should go to the Doctor opposite to my clinic, see that board.
Man: No, Doctor, I have come to you only.
Doctor: But, gentleman I am a Veterinary Doctor. I am an animal specialist. I do not treat human beings.
Man: I know, Doctor and that is why I have come to you..
Doctor: I can not, because you speak like me, think like me, talk like me which means you are a human being and not an animal.
Man: I know I am a human but listen to my complaints first !!
Doctor: Ok. Tell me.
Man: I sleep like a dog thinking about my work load whole night.
I get up in the morning like a horse
I go to work running like a deer
I work all the day like a donkey
I run around for 11 months like a bull without any holiday.
I wag my tail in front of all my bosses
I play with my children like a monkey if I get time.
I am like a rabbit before my wife
Doctor: Are you an engineer?
Man: Yes
Doctor: Instead of telling this long history you should have told me in the beginning itself that you are are an engineer. Come man, no one can treat you better than me.

The Balducci Levitation
The Secret:
All there is to do is pretend to “float off of the ground while you tippee-toe on just one foot (the foot furthest from their view) as shown to the right and below. The audience can not see your supporting foot because it is hidden by three things: your pants, the angle of the trick and your closest shoe (which hides their view of
the foot being used to “levitate” you.) You might only rise 3 or 5 inches off of the ground, but it’s all in the presentation! You will want to slowly rise off of the ground . . . wait a few seconds and then drop fast. Stay up too long and they will probably figure it out.
Good luck and enjoy the illusion!

Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4

Have you ever thought of buying a street legal car which can hit a speed over 250m/h? Then you should go for Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4. And do you know? you would be fastest man on the road with Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4.
You cannot compare this cars’ performance with any other car, doing so is like comparing pears with the apples because the car has a W16 engine, which is the equivalent of two narrow-angle V8 engines fused in a ‘V’ formation. Each of the car’s cylinders has 4 valves making it a total of 64 valves.Torque produced by this engine can rotate a dead planet!! The engine is fed by four turbochargers. Bugatti can produce mere 987hp, to reach 155 mph, only 266 hp is required. When you summon the remaining 721 hp, all hell breaks loose. Bugatti is even more impressive when you start approaching the scary but scintillating 200-mph-plus speed range. The words can’t describe how fast is this super sport car. The Bugatti Veyron is a monster of a machine and can hit over 407 Km / hour at top speed. Of course the problem with any of these super cars is finding somewhere to actually run them at that speed. It’s not likely to happen on a normal motorway!
With the luxurious length of 4.47 m, the Veyron EB 16.4 is balanced combination of high speed performance and sleeky design. The car has a fantastic array of Electronic Equipments. The car’s wheelbase is 2710 mm and its overall length is 4462 mm. It is 1998 mm wide and 1206 mm in height. The car’s weight is about 1,890 kg.

Giganotosaurus
It existed an estimated 100 million years ago during the Cretaceous period and appears to be quite closely erlated to a theropod that lived 50 million years previously. Both Giganotosaurus and Tryannosaurus existed during the Cretaceous period, which spanned the time between 65 and 144 million years ago and saw the end of the Age of Dinosaurs. Preceding Tryannosaurus by 30 million years, Giganotosaurus is thought to have evolved independently. The fact that both meat eaters shared the same enormous dimensions suggests that both were equally equipped to tackle large plant-eating dinosaurs.
More than 70 percent of skeleton has been unearthed so far and a clear idea of the full skeleton can gained be from the impression.
Gignotosaurus shares many of the physical characteristics of Allosaurus. Its skull, measuring 1.53m long is more than twice as big as the skullof Allosaurus(75cm), while the entire length of the skeleton (12.5m) is one metre longer than ‘Sue’, the largest Tryannosaurus.

Trick with deck of cards
Fan out the cards face down and have the spectator pick any card. When he has memorized it, have him put the card on the top of the deck. Put the deck behind your back, flip the top card over so the card is face up and rest of the cards in the deck face down. Bring the deck from your back and ask the person if the card in the bottom is their card. While doing this, his card should be in plain sight of you face up in the back of the deck. He of course will tell you the card is not his. Put the deck behind your back again and flip over the spectator’s card again so that all the cards in the deck face up. Cut the deck and show the spectator the card on the bottom again. He will tell you that it is not his card again and think you are a fool. Tell him to shuffle the cards.
